In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, The Center is now offering telemedicine video appointments for new and existing patients via computer, tablet, and smartphone. Providing this technology ensures the continuity of care for patients who are no longer able to visit The Center clinics in-person due to health concerns and state mandates surrounding the COVID-19 virus.
“Providing safe and easy access to orthopedic, neurosurgical, and physical medicine and rehabilitative care comes at an unprecedented time when how we serve and interact with our patients is changing quickly,” said Christy McLeod, CEO of The Center. “It remains our top priority to serve our Central Oregon community with exceptional care and compassion, and to ensure that everyone has access to the medical support they need.”
Virtual visits with The Center’s specialized care team are for any pediatric and adult patients with non-acute injuries, follow-up visits and imaging results. Telemedicine visits are approved by Medicare and nearly all insurance companies in Oregon. Appointments are staffed by our expertly trained orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, physical medicine and rehabilitation doctors, and physician assistants (PA-C). Our providers will immediately determine if your injuries require further diagnostic testing and create a treatment plan. With this treatment and direction, telemedicine provides excellent care, further diagnosis, and facilitates patients returning to activities of daily living as quickly as possible.
For injuries requiring immediate in-person care, The Center’s NOWcare walk-in injury clinic is open and operating at their Neff Road clinic location Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Telemedicine appointments can be scheduled by calling The Center’s scheduling line at, 541.322.2352, or by visiting The Center’s appointments page. Visit The Center’s Telemedicine home page to learn more about their virtual video appointments.
