A Winning Partnership with Central Oregon Schools
Advocating sports safety and encouraging physical activity are at the heart of the Foundation's mission. And no place are we making a bigger impact than in Central Oregon schools.
In 1981, the Foundation introduced the regions first school-based Sports Medicine Program to help create a safe and supportive environment for student-athletes. What began as an innovative venture between private practice and public schools has grown to serve Bend, La Pine and Sisters high schools, as well as all of Bend's middle schools.
In a time of funding shortages and cuts to extracurricular activities, the Sports Medicine Program has been vital to maintaining, and even growing, first-rate school sports programs in Central Oregon. Even more importantly, the peace of mind parents gain knowing their children are receiving world-class training and treatment is priceless.
